Multilingual/BME and Overseas Research

Over the last few years PEXEL has seen a large rise in requests for telephone surveys overseas, resulting in more than sixty percent of our telephone interviews now being conducting in a language other than English.

All calls made overseas are made in the native language of the respondent, and in the relevant time zone. All captured data can be provided to client in their language of choice. We also offer translation services for questionnaires.

Multilingual telephone surveys do attract a unit premium to cover issues such as verbatim translations, time zones, language premium, and so forth. However, we are able to offer internationally competitive rates, as can be seen from recent commissions conducting telephone surveys with Polish and Hungarian businesses.

In fact, as stated elsewhere on our website, we have conducted telephone surveys in virtually every part of the globe.

Our multilingual staff can be categorised into two groups: firstly, for UK BME requirements, our interviewers tend to be indigenous UK citizens; secondly, for overseas requirements, we make use of the very high number of foreign students studying in the Central Belt of Scotland. This latter group tend to be older than their UK counterparts, usually post-graduates with considerable work experience in a wide variety of sectors.
